Success for TY Mini-companies!!
9th March 2020
On the 5th of March 2020, three of our TY mini companies represented the school at the Student Enterprise Awards County Final in the Tullamore Court Hotel. Kkakes, Killina Fights Against Cancer and Infinity Candle all entered in the senior category of the competition. Since the beginning of the year the teams have worked extremely hard, brainstorming ideas, carrying out both field and desk research, making their products and producing business plans.
“Killina Fights Against Cancer” consisting of Mark Leonard, Jack Brickland and Joshua Keating won the Best Social Enterprise. “Infinity Candle” consisting of Tom Doyle, John Spollen, Charlie Mitchell, Dara Rosney and Sean Darcy won the Student Recognition award. In the coming weeks, the teams will be selling their products in various locations including Tullamore Credit Union and the Bank of Ireland.
Congratulations and well done to all the teams on their success and we wish them the best of luck in the future. Keep an eye on the school website and Facebook page for more information in relation to upcoming sales days.
Well done to all the teams, and especially their teachers Ms Nolan and Ms Stewart for all their help, advice and encouragement.
