Development Education
15th March 2017
5th Year Development Education students, Jack Watkins and Mairead Walsh teaching 2K Geography on Friday 10th March 2017.
Mrs. Hall and her class were taught a lesson about Fair Trade. Jack and Mairead informed students that it is now Fair Trade fortnight and the importance of the decisions we make, when buying our weekly shop. It is important that our purchases do not exploit someone living in the developing world. We should be making informed decisions and whenever possible, purchase fair trade products. We can do this by looking out for fair trade products such as cotton, tea, coffee, chocolate and bananas, to name just a few examples, in our local shops and supermarkets.
