Bank of Ireland Money Smart Challenge 2020
Well done to the three teams who represented the school in the Bank of Ireland Money Smart Challenge in the Laois/Offaly regional final in the Tullamore Court Hotel Thursday 23rd January 2020.
Congratulations to the 6th year Business team consisting of Mark O Rourke, Niamh Flanagan, Ciaran Waters and Therese Donoghue who made it through to the Grand Final which takes places in the Citywest Convention Centre on the 2nd April 2020.
The challenge consisted of a high energy quiz consisting of eight rounds of all kinds of money related questions and conundrums to be solved over a two hour period. Students were tested on their financial expertise and skills in the areas of financial wellbeing, currency exchange, business, banking etc.
Well done to the two 5th year teams consisting Andrew Wallace, Eoin Boland, Joe Walsh, Teni Shittu, Jake Coughlan Delaney, Aaron O Kelly, Tadhg Donoghue and Ventsi Stoyanov who also represented the school at the competition. Teams were selected for the competition on Thursday 16th January when all interested Business students completed a business quiz at lunch time.
Well done and thanks to our Business teachers, Ms Stewart and Ms Nolan, for all their help and support to the teams, and we wish Mark, Niamh, Ciarán and Therese the best of luck in the rest of the competition.
