Announcement on the Leaving Certificate

Parents and 6th year students.
Earlier today the minister for Education announced a change to the plans for Leaving Certificate 2020 and how grades are to be calculated.
An information booklet is attached on the process of how grades will be calculated. Also provided is a link to a useful section of the Departments website, which should prove informative.
It is important that we consider the contents of this carefully. Further communication and clarifications will be made directly with 6th year students through their school emails and with you as parents through the school website.
It is clear from the documentation that teachers cannot and are not allowed to engage in conversations with parents and examination students around their assessments. I ask you to respect this request .
