All-Ireland Semi-final heartbreak for Senior Camógie Girls

8th February 2022

Commiserations to our Senior Camógie girls, who unfortunately found the Convent of Mercy, Roscommon just too good in the All Ireland semi-final last Saturday.

Hoping to build on the historic Leinster final success and go one step further to the All Ireland, the girls put up a heroic first half effort defending against a gale-force wind and driving rain in the Roscommon Gaels home ground.  Trailing by only 5 points at the break, the girls just couldn't get going in the second half, and the Roscommon girls prevailed in the end.

While it was disappointing to bow out, the girls' names will always be etched in history as the first Leinster senior camógie champions in the schools history, and the school takes great pride in the achievements and never-say-die attitude of a brilliant bunch of girls.
