5th Year Bonding Day
2nd September 2019
On Friday last, Ms McNeill organised a very successful bonding day for our recently returned 5th year students.
5th year is naturally a very important landmark year in school life, as students begin senior cycle on the back of either TY or coming straight from Junior Certificate. With students taking a variety of different subjects and meeting an array of new classmates several times each day, this bonding day gave a chance to students new and old an opportunity to mingle and learn from, and about, each other.
The students also were given a valuable insight into facing the leaving cert in a presentation from past pupil Anita Watkins, who achieved excellently in this year's leaving cert, and also Katie Meleady, who spoke to the students about decision-making after results day and the factors that she considered before deciding to repeat the leaving cert. Well done to Anita and Katie, and all the students and teachers who participated in an enjoyable and informative day.
